Best Warm Berry Sauce

The perfect thick and sweet warm berry sauce for pancakes, waffles, parfaits or even vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp arrowroot powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries)
  • 2 tbsps maple syrup

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, mix the arrowroot powder with 1 tablespoon of water. Whisk to combine.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine lemon juice, frozen berries, and maple syrup. Bring the mixture to a boil , then reduce to simmer and cook for three minutes until berries are tender. Add the dissolved arrowroot mixture and cook until the sauce has thickened.
  3. Serve immediately or store in air-tight container in the fridge for up to a week.
